AMAZING
This was my final collection of my degree course. My inspiration came from the work of the Russian constructivist. The whole of my collection was produced on a budget of £0 so I relied on donation and unwanted materials.
I had my P.D.P presentation today which was a talk about the final collection and how this will help in future career plans. The presentation was in front of fellow students from second and the third year as well as Gill and Suri. All day I was really nervous as I do not like public speaking but the atmosphere was extremely relaxed and informal. The main concern of mine was that the presentation would not last the 10 minutes that it was suppose to as I had done a run through before and it only lasted 5 minutes luckily when doing the actual presentation it lasted 11 mins. Although I spoke little about what I want to do after university I went in depth about the concept of my final major project, highlighting the problems that occurred what I did to rectify the issues and what I would do differently. I felt like there was a great response to the presentation. When all the presentation were complete Gill and Suri complimented me on my technical flat drawings and my understanding of the target audience I had chose to focus on (Karen Millan), but both Gill and Suri said that i would be bored working for Karen Millan. Suri advised me to contact a company that deconstruct and reconstructs old business wear for work placements which i will follow up.

Today I got my photo from the Photo shoot that I did with David Lam. I absolutely love the image and think the simplicity of the makeup and lack of movement means all the focus is on the dress and reflects the construction of the dress. Seeing this image makes me want to carry forward this idea with the rest of my dresses when I organize my own photo shoot.
